We are very pleased to announce that our new outpatient surgical facility is now open and accredited. The facility is located in a new wing of Periodontal Medicine Surgical Specialists in Oakbrook Terrace.
Patients will enjoy numerous benefits in this modern, well-equipped facility. We perform surgeries under intravenous (I.V.) sedation and general anesthesia to ensure patient comfort. Under advanced anesthesia, patients are monitored by a board-certified dental anesthesiologist and a cardiac critical care nurse for patient safety. All surgeries in the new facility are performed on an outpatient basis.
We have always been on the leading edge of periodontal, bone reconstruction and implant surgery, and we built this new facility to accommodate the increasing sophistication of oral and periodontal surgery procedures. We are pushing the boundaries of our specialty beyond the walls of the traditional private practice office to offer the highest level of care to patients who often have more complex needs. Our patients deserve the best so they can enjoy optimal & sustainable oral health as well as a high quality of life.
We are particularly proud of our full accreditation status. We are the first periodontists to own and operate an office-based surgery center accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). We voluntarily submitted ourselves to the intense scrutiny of accreditation because we welcome outside, objective review–a level of accountability not previously achieved in traditional periodontal practices.
